Bernard Kazenene Chilufya is the Chief Executive Officer of Jimbe Minerals Limited and brings more than two decades of experience in mineral exploration, mine development, project management and mining operations across Zambia.
Throughout his career, Mr. Chilufya has led multidisciplinary teams in the planning, development and execution of exploration and mining projects, overseeing every stage from early exploration through to operational delivery. His expertise spans project management, logistics, procurement, budgeting, stakeholder coordination and operational leadership.
He has played key roles in several significant mining projects in Zambia, including the early development of the Kalumbila (Trident) Copper Project, where he contributed to the logistical and operational support of one of the country’s most significant copper discoveries. He has also managed projects in emerald and manganese mining, gaining extensive experience in exploration support, mine logistics, infrastructure development and project execution.
Before becoming Chief Executive Officer, he served as Project Coordinator for Jimbe Minerals, Project Manager at L.M. Engineering Ltd, Logistics Manager at Kalumbila Minerals Ltd and Managing Director of Viacon Investments Ltd — roles that combined delivery of complex mining projects with financial discipline, operational efficiency and safety standards.
As CEO, Mr. Chilufya leads corporate strategy, business development, project execution, stakeholder engagement and operational growth, with a focus on responsible mineral exploration and long-term value creation from Zambia’s copper resources. He holds qualifications in Information Systems from institutions in the United Kingdom.
With over four decades of experience in mineral exploration and geological sciences, Sakwiba Musiwa serves as Chief Geologist at Jimbe Minerals Limited, providing technical leadership for the Company’s exploration strategy and resource development programmes.
Mr. Musiwa has built an extensive career across Zambia’s mining sector, having held senior geological positions within ZCCM, the Ministry of Mines and private exploration companies. His expertise spans regional geological mapping, mineral exploration, project evaluation, geological interpretation and exploration programme management.
Throughout his career he has led and contributed to numerous exploration initiatives targeting copper and other mineral resources across Zambia, bringing deep knowledge of the country’s geology and mineral potential.
At Jimbe Minerals he oversees geological exploration activities, drilling programmes, data interpretation, target generation and technical evaluation, ensuring exploration is conducted to the highest professional and scientific standards.
Mr. Musiwa holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and has undertaken advanced studies through the University of Zambia, Oxford Brookes University (United Kingdom) and the International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), The Netherlands.
Nyambe Wamukwamba is the Chief Financial Officer of Jimbe Minerals Limited, bringing extensive experience in corporate finance, structured finance, project finance, financial risk management and strategic financial leadership.
He has worked across mining, engineering, infrastructure, energy and financial services, with experience spanning financial modelling, capital planning, budgeting, commercial analysis, risk management and project financing. His work includes structured commodity-finance assignments involving copper, cobalt and nickel projects, as well as renewable energy and infrastructure finance.
Mr. Wamukwamba has provided financial and strategic advisory support to multidisciplinary project teams, working alongside mining engineers, geologists, legal advisers, financial specialists and commercial stakeholders. His experience includes developing financial models, scenario analyses, project cash-flow projections and risk frameworks designed to support project bankability and informed capital allocation.
He currently serves as Head of Finance Programs at CLW Engineering Company Ltd, where he provides financial leadership across engineering, construction and infrastructure operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, financial governance and investment decision-making. He also serves as a University Associate at the University of Zambia, where he lectures in Financial Markets and Derivatives, Management Accounting and related disciplines.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Wamukwamba worked in management consulting at Grant Thornton, providing financial analysis, feasibility assessments, investment appraisals, due diligence and commercial advisory services to public and private sector clients.
He is a member of professional banking, accounting and finance institutions in Zambia and the United Kingdom.
At Jimbe Minerals, Mr. Wamukwamba provides financial leadership supporting disciplined capital allocation, project economics, risk management and the Company’s long-term objective of developing commercially viable copper assets in Zambia.
Chikwa Ysakar Chibwe is a Partner at Ysakar Legal Practitioners, providing commercially focused legal counsel to clients operating across Zambia’s mining and resources sectors.
His practice encompasses mining and energy projects, banking and finance, project structuring, regulatory compliance, licensing, joint ventures, and offtake arrangements. He brings a practical understanding of the legal and commercial considerations involved in developing and financing resource projects.
Chikwa also draws on experience in fintech and emerging digital regulation, including matters relating to digital payments and data protection. His approach is pragmatic and commercially oriented, with a focus on providing clear legal guidance that supports sound decision-making and long-term project objectives.
For Jimbe Minerals, his role provides legal and regulatory oversight supporting the Company’s project development activities in Zambia.
Mrityunjay Singh serves as Chief Marketing Officer of Jimbe Minerals Limited, bringing more than 20 years of experience in mineral marketing and commercial activities across Africa, with extensive experience in Zambia.
His career has focused on the commercial side of the minerals sector, including market development, customer and stakeholder relationships, mineral sales and marketing, and understanding the commercial requirements of mineral producers and buyers.
With extensive exposure to Zambia’s mining industry, Mr. Singh brings practical knowledge of the regional minerals market and the commercial relationships required to support the development of mining projects from exploration toward production.
At Jimbe Minerals, he leads the Company’s marketing and commercial strategy, with a focus on developing relationships with potential offtakers, strategic partners, investors and other stakeholders as the Company’s copper assets progress through staged development.
His experience complements Jimbe Minerals’ technical, operational and financial leadership, providing a commercial perspective as the Company works toward its long-term objective of becoming a copper producer in Zambia.
